Simone Filiaci studied Sociology (BSc - 2011) and Development Studies (Master’s - 2014) in Italy before working in a Sociology research institute (2013 – 2015), dealing mainly with quantitative analysis. Between 2015 and 2016 he gained a MSc with Distinction in Applied Economics and International Development at the University of Kent. He joined LSTM in February 2017.
As a Research Assistant in CMNH, he has been involved in:
• Design of study protocols and standard operating procedures
• Design and implementation of data collection, including quality assurance, electronic data capturing and real-time data review
• Analysis of data under academic lead
• Supervision of data collection in the field in several African countries
