Alumni and Friends of LSTM Launch

From LSTM’s very beginning, our students have been as diverse as the problems presented in global health, and we are very proud of the impact that our alumni have gone on to have as true leaders in their field.

That’s why, in October 2017, we launched the Alumni and Friends of LSTM project to get back in touch with those who have studied with us over the years, as well as all those who support us, whether as a donor, member of staff, or anyone with an interest in global health.

Getting to know our alumni and friends has been inspiring; we love hearing what our students have been up to since their studies with us, and alongside our network of friends they are changing the face of global health and humanitarian challenges.

So far, we’ve had over 1, 500 responses to our campaign, but we’re still hoping to get back in touch with others who we have lost contact with. We want to develop a global network of like-minded individuals. Any alumni or friends of LSTM are encouraged to fill in our survey, so please help us spread the word!

Here’s a bit about what we’ve found so far…

LSTM alumni and friends live in 90 countries around the world. This map shows their global spread, with the 437 UK and 627 Kenyan responses removed.

Almost half of LSTM’s alumni and friends are employed in clinical practice, serving as nurses, midwives, and doctors around the world.
