LSTM General Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website.

On occasion, you may be asked to provide some limited personal information (such as name, postal address, email address) when requesting publications, information or services via the School web site. When providing this information, you may also be asked whether you wish to receive any further communication from The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine thought relevant to you. 

How is it being collected

Information is collected by our student information system when applying for a course, or our recruitment system when applying for a job vacancy at LSTM.

What we do with the information and who it will be shared with

The information you supply is being collected for your application for a course or vacancy and is only retained for the processing that application.  If you are successful in your application, then the information will be held for the management of your education or while you remain an employee.  If you have left LSTM’s employment or have finished your course, we will only hold onto information in accordance with our retention schedules which reflect our legal obligations and are reviewed annually.

We will not sell, licence or trade your personal details to any third party.  Occasionally, information may be shared with other organisations in line with legal compliance, for example, in the prevention of crime.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure,we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
