I started working at LSTM in October 2018 as a Research Technician where my roles were to conduct HPLC and other analytical techniques to quantify insecticide levels in materials (e.g. bednets). Prepare recombinant mosquito proteins for insecticide metabolism assays, perform biochemical assays to measure P450 and other enzyme activities.
My current role as a Senior Research Technician working on Insecticides Resistance Prediction Platform (IRPP) project is centered around expertise in protein expression, purification, and binding studies. During the duration of the project, I will be responsible for executing protein pull-down assays, protein production, insecticide analysis using HPLC and LC-MS/MS. The position will also involves actively managing data, analysing bioassays, and preparing comprehensive reports.
