Layla joined LSTM in October 2020 as Programmes Officer, and provides support to a number of research programmes in Tanzania and Uganda, in terms of project management, the delivery of workplans, and communications.
Prior to joining LSTM, Layla worked at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as overseas projects coordinator, managing a number of clinical trials and other research projects on Malaria, Fever and HIV/AIDS. She has over 10 years project management experience, all with a focus on public health in Asia and Sub Saharan Africa.
