Over the years, I have been involved in respiratory medicine Research with a greater part of my work being in TB research. I am currently the team leader for the Burden of Lung Disease (BOLD) study whose aim is to establish the prevalence of COPD and its risk factors in Nairobi, Kenya. I am also a Lecturer at the graduate school in the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases (ITROMID) and have been the Deputy Director for the Regional Course on Programmatic Management of TB/HIV and Drug Resistant TB.
