Introduction

Athena SWAN Actions at faculty and institutional level are designed to support colleagues achieve a work-life balance. Actions within our Faculties include establishing support structures for our staff who travel frequently to carry out research; supporting colleagues re-engage with their research following a career break; promoting awareness of paternity and shared parental leave; establishing a parent-buddying scheme; sharing intelligence regarding local childcare provision; and providing new parents with support for childcare funding to facilitate the uptake of KIT days.

Faculty meetings take place 9.30-4.30 and during school term-times. Colleagues unable to attend meetings are encouraged and supported to participate remotely if available.
