Rebecca Nightingale

I completed a BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton, going on to specialise in Respiratory Physiotherapy.  Over the last 12 years I have been employed by the NHS as a consultant physiotherapist and also worked with a charity in Kenya as programme director of Dreamland Mission Hospital, developing it from a small dispensary into a 70 bed hospital. In 2015 I completed an MSc in Global Health and Development at UCL. My thesis focused on non-adherence to oral antibiotics in children diagnosed with pneumonia in Malawi. It is in the process of being published and was recently presented as poster at the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases.  I have a particular interest in improving the outcomes of those diagnosed with respiratory conditions in Sub-Sahara Africa. ORCID number: 0000-0001-5636-8531
