The Liverpool School of Tropical medicine aims to design and implement services, policies and measures that meet the diverse needs of our workforce, ensuring that none are placed at a disadvantage over others. It takes into account the Equality Act (2010) including the Human Rights Act 1998 and promotes equal opportunities for all. These guidelines have been assessed to ensure that no employee or patient receives less favourable treatment on the protected characteristics of their age, disability, sex (gender), gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, pregnancy and maternity.
