Fellows and members of Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) and students, alumni or staff members of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) are invited to nominate candidates for the Hemingway Award 2019.

This new Award is to recognise Professor Janet Hemingway’s achievements in delivering and encouraging translational science during her leadership of LSTM.

It is a joint award between RSTMH and LSTM, which will be presented annually with a cash prize of £5,000. The award was announced in 2018 by RSTMH’s CEO Tamar Ghosh during a ceremony around Professor Hemingway’s retirement as LSTM Director.

The award will recognise success of translating research, translating pure research undertaken by someone else, or by securing funding for translational studies or programmes.

Nominees can be researchers, scientists and professionals from anywhere in the world, with no restriction on age, or sector of candidates.
