Similarly to PATS, STSA leads on training activities of IMPALA and have held several spirometry courses and workshops in Africa (see our IMPALA Training page). The training is led by Lindsay Zurba who pioneered the first formal spirometry training course at the Durban Institute of Technology and has been teaching on the subject across Africa. As part of IMPALA, Lindsay currently delivers several course presentations in spirometry, peak flow and asthma and initiating new developments in these fields.
STSA offers a range of courses and workshops, at various NQF levels, primarily in the practice of Spirometry but also in other respiratory education.
