Dr. Amsalu joined the AAU internal medicine department and became the head of the pulmonary department in 2007. After his fellowship training, he became the head of the pulmonary and critical care medicine unit. He has worked closely with the EATI in the creation and improvement of the pulmonary and critical care training program.
