Collaborative learning tool (Wiggio)

This software functions as an area where you can group users, whether they are staff or students, and carry out a number of collaborative activities in the one space.  

Users have access to a number of tools to enhance the collaboration experience, but the main features are:

  • Group feed – users can post messages and attachments to a group feed, which group members can be notified about through email.
  • Document repository – groups can store and share documents within Wiggio.
  • Virtual Meeting – users can share an online calendar to schedule meetings and meet together online through Wiggio’s own virtual meeting space.

Wiggio has been used to organise group projects, work on case studies and create study groups outside the classroom.  Users can keep track of their group’s progress, organise group content to deadlines and collaborate at any time off-site through Brightspace.
