Hannah Dobbins

Research Technician

I joined LSTM in June 2022, and became a Research Technician in LITE in September 2022. My role involves mosquito rearing and testing them on different chemical compounds including insecticides.

Prior to joining LSTM, I worked as a laboratory analyst, extracting and processing COVID-19 PCR tests. I also worked briefly in research and development whereby I was involved in assay optimization.

In 2020, I received a B.Sc. (Hons) in Tropical Disease Biology from the University of Liverpool. My research project explored efficacy of Olyset Plus and Royal Guard next generation insecticide treated bed nets on resistant (VK7) and susceptible (Kisumu) mosquito strains. In 2021 I graduated with an M.Sc. in Tropical Disease Biology from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
