Due to the ongoing Ebola Crisis in West Africa, LSTM has extended the Ebola Response Register to now finish on the 15 December 2014.  So far, 340 doctors, nurses and midwives have registered their interest to work on the crisis response.  LSTM share this information with the following international organisations: MSF, Save the Children, DFID, WHO, RCOG, Médecins du Monde and GOAL, who then contact individuals to invite them through their recruitment processes directly.

Those currently working for the NHS wanting to volunteer for the Ebola response will need to do so via the UKIEMR (www.uk-med.org) as this is the official UK government mechanism for NHS staff deploying to emergencies. The LSTM Response Register is designed to assist liaison between those wishing to volunteer and NGO’s/UN Agencies working on the Response.
