LSTM’s Trustee, Professor Nyovani Madise, has been appointed to a United Nations SDG panel

Professor Madise, who is the Director of Research and Development Policy and Head of the Malawi Office of the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), is one of 15 eminent global scientists who have been asked to draft the 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR). The report will inform the follow-up and review of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Appointed as a Trustee to LSTM in 2019, Professor Madise has over 100 peer reviewed publications on the social determinants of health in specific areas of maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, adolescent sexual and reproduction health, food security and nutritional status.
