Dominic Wooding

Research Technician

Dominic completed his BSc in Biological Sciences at the University of Warwick, and MSc in Immunology of Infectious Diseases at LSHTM; including a research project on the potential role of the ap2mu gene in antimalarial resistance.

Prior to joining LSTM, Dominic worked as a Research Assistant in HIV vaccine research at IAVI in collaboration with Imperial College. This role involved running ELISpot and Flow Cytometry assays to identify HIV peptides with immunogenic potential, as well as developing qPCR assays. These included an in-house ultrasensitive assay for detecting very low copy numbers, as well as a novel assay to determine the integration site of HIV strains in the human genome.
