Guided Tours of LSTM
Book a place on a tour and find out more about the oldest institution of its kind in the world consistently at the forefront of training leaders in global health since 1898
Due to the current COVID-19 situation there will be no guided tours of LSTM until further notice.
Come and enjoy a free guided tour of LSTM. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will take you through our history and research.
The tour will give you a fascinating insight into the work of the school including the Centre for Snake Bite Research and Interventions, the Departments of Vector Biology and Tropical Disease Biology. Learn about how we work across the world, often in very difficult circumstances, to fulfill our mission of reducing the burden of sickness and mortality in disease endemic countries.
The tour will last from 10 am until 1 pm, the first Tuesday of every month. To book on a tour please register your interest on Eventbrite. We only allow a maximum of 15 visitors per tour and the minimum age is 16.
“Absolutely amazing! Had a fab time learning all about the history of LSTM. The archives and the lab were super cool and the venom room was such a privilege”

Please note
The tour involves a lot of walking up and down flights of stairs and standing. We do have a small lift that can accommodate only a few visitors. Please make a note on the Eventbrite booking form if you have any difficulties with stairs so we can plan to use the lift in advance.

Photography and Tweeting on the tour
You are more than welcome to take photographs and if you use social media, tweet throughout the tour. Please tweet to @LSTMnews #LSTM.

Parking
Unfortunately, there is no parking available at LSTM for visitors.

School groups or larger parties
As we only accept 15 visitors per month on the tours, you are more than welcome to split your larger group across two months. Please contact events@lstmed.ac.uk to discuss.
