This week’s CSRI snake of the week is the Eastern Green Mamba (Dendroaspis angusticeps). In southern East Africa these snakes are traditionally arboreal, with potent neurotoxic venom. https://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5713420/
It is uncommon for humans to experience bites from these snakes, they much prefer the taste of birds & small mammals. These snakes are oviparous, meaning that they lay eggs, which need to be incubated for approximately 3 months.
