Creative Responses to Jewish Heritage Near and Far

As a culmination of the 'Galkoff's and the Secret Life of Pembroke Place' project, Museum of Liverpool is hosting a Jewish heritage symposium, exploring a range of creative responses to Jewish culture, drawing on work in Liverpool and London.

Speakers will include: Artist and poet Sophie Herxheimer on collecting memories and stories live in ink; Nadia Valman (Queen Mary, University of London) on using digital technology to unlock layers of heritage; Poppy Learman and Liz Stewart (Museum of Liverpool / LSTM) on the Galkoff’s and the Secret Life of Pembroke Place project; Daniel Edmonds on Kosher discoveries through project research and Chris Kerfoot (Museum of Liverpool) on House of Memories and dementia awareness.

A screening of 'Chicken Soup and Scouse' will be followed by a Question and Answer session with film-maker Michael Swerdlow.

Kosher lunch will be provided.
