LSTM’s 125th Anniversary 'Future Focus' Webinar Series will bring together leading experts in the field of global health through a series of panel discussions and ‘in conversation’ style events to mark LSTM’s 125th anniversary in 2023.

This series will celebrate the impact of major breakthroughs in global health over the last 125 years as well as examining some of the most pressing health challenges facing humanity today.

LSTM, in collaboration with RSTMH, is delighted to bring you the first public webinar of this new series, hosted by The Guardian’s Health Editor, Sarah Boseley

Join LSTM's Director, Professor David Lalloo, Director of the Wellcome Trust, Sir Jeremy Farrar, RSTMH CEO, Tamar Ghosh, and Director of Programmes of the African Academy of Sciences, Professor Tom Kariuki, as they talk about the challenges humanity might face when, not if, the next pandemic arrives.

As recent events have shown, pandemics do not respect geographical boundaries. A globally focused effort is needed to combat the next major health threats to humanity amidst the complexities of climate change and globalisation.

During this webinar we will discuss how a coordinated effort from the global health sector, policymakers, international agencies, and communities will help address new and emerging challenges we face in a post-COVID-19 world.

After registering, you will receive an email containing information about joining the webinar up to three days before the event.
