The FCT HMB was supported to sustain EmONC training, through continuous medical education programmes in their hospitals to increase advocacy for competency-based training in SBA and EmONC within Nigeria by establishing EmONC skills rooms in 6 facilities.

Objectives:

Support the establishment of hands-on EmONC skills training rooms in FCT hospitals,

Facilitate and support existing Master Trainers/Course Directors to conduct regular CME in using EmONC training materials and packages,

Support the update of LSTM Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care training manuals,

Monitor and evaluate the impact of this programme and

Increase advocacy for scale-up of competency-based training through the documentation of lessons learnt and dissemination of the success of the programme in FCT Abuja.
