Program for Resistance, Immunology and Surveillance of Malaria (PRISM)

This Uganda-based, NIH-funded project involves a consortium partners from Africa, Europe and the USA and is one of the International Centers for Excellence in Malaria Research. Our role is 1. to investigate mechanisms of insecticide resistance which we do using a combination of  genomics, transcriptomics and functional genetics (CRISPR/cas9 and RNAi) and 2. study the interaction in individual mosquitoes between insecticide resistance and susceptibility to malaria.
