The CSC offers scholarships to students from Commonwealth countries, supporting them to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. The organisation has awarded over 31,000 scholarships since 1960, enabling students with outstanding academic achievements and leadership skills to realise their potential.
For September 2026 entry, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is delighted to be working with the CSC to offer two scholarships as part of the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships scheme. These scholarships will provide two students with a fully funded place on one of our campus-based master’s courses as detailed below.
Eligibility for Consideration
To be considered for one of the two shared scholarships, you must hold a conditional offer for one of the master’s programmes listed above. To ensure your scholarship application can be considered, you should have submitted your application for your chosen course to LSTM by 16:00 GMT on Friday 19 December 2025.
How Can I Get a Conditional Offer from LSTM?
You must apply for one of the courses listed above and provide the following with your application:
- Evidence of previous qualification (your undergraduate degree certificate and transcripts).
- Your personal statement explaining why you wish to study the programme and how it fits with your career aspirations.
- A copy of your passport.
- Contact details for two referees or upload two references (dated, signed, and on letterhead or official email — not Gmail accounts). These may be the same references used for your CSC supporting documents.
- Evidence that you meet LSTM’s English Language requirements or that you have made provisions to meet this condition as soon as possible. LSTM does not make scholarship offers to students who have not met the English language requirement; however, a wide variety of English language qualifications, including school certificates, are accepted.
