MRC DTP and CASE: THE APPLICATION PROCESS HAS NOW CLOSED
If you have submitted an application, you will be informed of the outcome of your Stage 1 application by Friday 9th February 2024, and if successful in this initial stage, you will be invited to submit a full application to the programme by Friday 8th March 2024.
The LSTM and Lancaster University Doctoral Training Partnership offers up to seven funded studentships for an October 2024 start, to enable exceptional candidates to access high-quality doctoral training and research opportunities in Translational and Quantitative Skills across a four-year programme, leading to the award of a PhD.
The goal of the DTP is to develop talented researchers:
- who demonstrate leadership in translational research relevant to global health
- with the quantitative and interdisciplinary skills needed to work across the traditional phases of translational research
- who can translate scientific innovation into beneficial impact on health for the world’s most vulnerable people and communities
We want you to apply if you can demonstrate understanding, knowledge, and experience (plus passion!) in these areas. We welcome and encourage applications from candidates from a broad range of academic backgrounds and disciplines, including but not limited to; medicinal chemistry, molecular and vector biology, parasitology, entomology, pharmacology, clinical specialties, epidemiology, statistics, health informatics, mathematics, economics, social and management science.
