Level of funding
Awards will be made primarily on the basis of academic merit. The purpose of the awards is to support applicants who are unable to obtain the full tuition fee from other sources. Priority will be given to applicants who already have some funding in place, or have a clear expectation that this can be obtained, or can show evidence that they are actively searching for additional funds.

The DSRH and the MSc Tropical Paediatrics have specially endowed funds that allow a very small number of fully-funded scholarships to be offered for these programmes only. Scholarships are awarded for the relevant year/month of entry only and may not normally be deferred to a subsequent course.

LSTM reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a scholarship if an applicant has not fully met the conditions of their offer within a set timeframe. These conditions may include, but are not limited to;

-          obtaining the necessary visa by the stated date

-          showing proof of additional funding

-          obtaining English language requirements, etc.

Where deadlines are set for meeting conditions, LSTM reserves the right to offer the scholarship to another applicant if these are not met.

Timing of decisions
Applicants can expect to hear the outcome of their application within 4 weeks of the deadline date for applications.

Important Note

Students in receipt of a Discount cannot concurrently apply for a Scholarship
